Slithice the Naga Siren is a melee Agility hero who is typically played as a carry with high hunting prowess. Slithice is an item dependent hero and with the right style and inventory choices she can overpower many other heroes that deal strong physical damage while casting her all four active skills to handle her enemies altogether and turn the tides. Mirror Image creates three illusions to wreak havoc upon her enemies. Ensnare is a very useful spell with several unique features. It not only holds an enemy in a place, but also prevents them from blinking and going invisible. Even if the enemy is magic immune, Ensnare can still target the enemy unit. Rip Tide calls the forces of the seas, allowing the Siren and her illusions to unleash a wave of magical water to wash away foes and degrade their armor. The Song of the Siren is the ultimate skill for team battles, the Naga Siren performs a mystical song to put her enemies to sleep in an area around her. Song of the Siren is her tool for initiation, as while her enemies are under her slumber her allies can come forth and prepare to unleash their attacks after the song wears off. Slithice is a mighty single target huntress and a great team fighter, using her powerful water magic, skills in combat, and her enchanting voice.

Bio

Naga Siren Slithice, the Naga Siren

Lore:
Among the high-sworn of the Slithereen Guard there is a solemn vow oft repeated before battle: No Slithereen may fail. In truth, these words are equal parts oath and enforceable covenant, for those who fall short of their duty are banished from the order. To fail is to be other than Slithereen.

Once most highly esteemed of her race, Slithice for many years commanded a battalion of her fellows, using her formidable voice as her greatest weapon. Powerful, sinuous, serpentine, she led her deadly Guard in defense of the Deep Ones, and the great wealth of the sunken cities. But in the final battle of Crey, her forces were driven back by a marauding army of levianths intent on finding tribute for their god Maelrawn. After the long and bloody onslaught, as the bodies were cleared from the sunken halls, a single jeweled chalice was found missing from the trove. Of her hundred Guard, only a handful survived, but their bravery and sacrifice were of little consequence. What mattered was that treasure was taken. Honor destroyed. And so Naga Siren was cast out. Banished to search for the stolen chalice. Though she might add a hundred times her weight to the golden trove, she is doomed to live apart until that day she returns that which was taken. For no amount of gold is equal in honor to the honor she lost.

Slithice, while being strong in her own right, is notoriously hard to track down.
Notes:
  • Naga Siren is invulnerable for 0.3 seconds when casting, allowing her to dodge stuns and damage.
  • Siren and her illusions all have 8 collision size.

Ensnare

The only way to escape the onslaught of a Slithereen is to never oppose one in the first place.
Notes:
  • Ensnare works on magic immune units. Because of this, the only way to break Ensnare is with Ghost Form or invulnerability
  • Illusions within a range of 900 will appear to cast Ensnare.
  • Ensnare sets the movement speed of the affected unit to zero.
  • Ensnare breaks channeling on hit and invisibility for the duration.
  • Ensnare dispels non-combat consumables.
  • Ensnare can be dodged by blinking(dagger) and the movement speed won't be affected

Slithice's powerful voice enchants leagues of opponents, while calling her Slithereen kin in a time of need.
Notes:
  • Doesn't affect magic immune units.
  • The area of the song follows Naga, so if she moves far enough away from affected units, they will wake up.
  • Song of the Siren is toggled, so silences merely keep the spell from being toggled off.
  • Sleeping units are invulnerable until the end of the ability.
  • Enemy towers within range will become invulnerable.

Explanation:
  • The recommended build focuses on getting a Ring of Aquila quickly as it remedies early mana problems and allows Mirror Image to be kept up most of time. With a few levels, Mirror Image in combination with Naga's other spells can make her enough of a threat that enemies do not try to engage her.
  • Diffusal Blade gives all her illusions the Feedback Attack Modifier, which, like Anti-Mage, can sap insane amounts of mana once all the illusions are striking at a single target. The Purge is also useful to catch up to a foe, and when combined with Ensnare make Naga Siren nearly impossible to escape.
  • Late game, as with many agility carries, Naga may want to work toward a Butterfly. A Talisman of Evasion is useful for melee evasion while the high agility boost of Eaglesong is a welcome boost to the illusions' DPS as they are not affected by many other statistics.
  • The Critical Strike passive of Daedalus will pass onto Mirror Images.
  • Manta Style is a good choice to have into account since it boosts your attributes, gives you even more Feedback Illusions and another skill to dodge projectiles.
  • Note that none of the auras from Vladmir's Offering will affect illusions from Mirror Image.
  • Unmentioned items: A very strong combination on Naga Siren is Linken's Sphere and Boots of Travel. This makes Naga an incredibly strong pusher, and Linkens makes it nigh impossible to catch her off-guard while pushing, allowing for an easy Song of Siren escape. Another item worth mentioning is Radiance. Slithice's illusions carry the Radiance DPS aura, allowing flash farming and greater combat presence.
